Shortlist Announcement for Outstanding Achievement by a Young Person in the Literary Arts

Express Media are pleased to announce the shortlist for the inaugural Outstanding Achievement by a Young Person in the Literary Arts Award.

Nominees came from a number of literary fields, including creative writing, nonfiction, journalism, poetry, editing, publishing, playwriting, screenwriting, comedy writing and radio.

Judging the inaugural award is Jane Harrison (playwright and inaugural Victorian Indigenous Literature Officer), Liz Jones (Artistic Director and CEO, La Mamma Theatre), Emily Sexton (Head of Programming, The Wheeler Centre), and Kate Callingham (General Manager, The Emerging Writers’ Festival).

Congratulations to Chloe Higgins (NSW), Eliza Henry-Jones (VIC), Ellen Van Neervan (QLD), Helen Scheurerer (NSW), and Jane  Howard (SA). 

The winner of the Outstanding Achievement by a Young Person in the Literary Arts Award will be announced at The Express Media Awards on Thursday December 3.
