Express Media has been providing valuable opportunities and supporting young writers for over 30 years. As a national, not-for-profit, incorporated association, we rely on community generosity and support to fund the future of our organisation.
Our mission is for young Australian writers, artists, editors and storytellers to be celebrated and supported across a range of platforms, from print and online publication to mentorships to workshops and prizes.
Without the security of ongoing funding, Express Media needs further assistance in order to deliver a year long program of opportunities to writers across the country and continue to publish Voiceworks, Australia’s premier youth literary journal.
As a registered Deductible Gift Recipient Organisation with Tax Charity Concession status, donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
Contribute a one-off donation or set up a regular payment securely through GiveNow.
If you would like to arrange donations via invoice or direct deposit, please get in touch with Eli McLean via generalmanager@expressmedia.org.au.
Express Media has contributed to launching the careers of countless Australians who have made a significant contribution to Australian arts and culture. Our network of alumni includes Lee Lai, Adolfo Aranjuez, Adalya Nash Hussein, Hasib Hourani, Elizabeth Flux, André Dao, Benjamin Law, Liam Pieper, Anna Krien, Hannah Kent, Tom Doig, Lili Wilkinson, Justin Heazlewood, Josephine Rowe, Romy Ash and Christos Tsiolkas among others who have significantly impacted the Australian literary, artistic and political landscapes.
With your help, we can ensure that the next generation of young writers is given the same opportunities to develop their skills, publish their work and get their foot in the door.
A donation to Express Media, no matter how small, will assist us in the vital work of strengthening Australia’s literary culture and the young writers that build it. For more information on what we do, download the 2025 annual report.
Thank you for helping us be here for young writers.
