Eli McLean, CEO / General Manager
Eli McLean is an editor, writer and publishing professional with broad sector experience and a deep knowledge of Australian literary culture. Most recently, he was Deputy Editor of Meanjin, and has also worked with Australian Book Review as Digital Editor, and Melbourne University Publishing as Sales, Marketing and Rights Coordinator. He lives and works on unceded Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung country.

Mia Nie, Creative Producer
Mia is a Chinese-Australian comic artist, essayist, illustrator, zine-maker and award-nominated ex-poet living on unceded Wurundjeri country. In 2020, she was a recipient of the Wheeler Centre’s The Next Chapter award, and her comics have been nominated for the National Cartoonist Society’s Reuben Awards. She is currently creative producer at Express Media, and is working on her self-published serial webcomic, SAMSARA DREAMIN’.

Joanne Zou, Administration & Communications Coordinator
Joanne Zou lives on unceded Wurundjeri Country. She is web editor for Sine Theta and previously edited poetry for Voiceworks. Mostly, she writes sentimental poems and SEO-tailored collection pages. They like pop music, all kinds of tea and the idea of hope.

Joel Keith, Voiceworks Editor
Joel Keith is a writer and editor living on unceded Wurundjeri land. Their work has appeared in Overland, Island, Cordite, The Suburban Review and, of course, Voiceworks. She has edited for Voiceworks since 2021, and interned at The Suburban Review in 2023. She placed third in the Judith Wright Poetry Prize 2024.

Alex Stevenson, Voiceworks Designer
Alex Stevenson is a multidisciplinary designer with seven years of experience working across digital, print, content, and product. She has collaborated with cultural institutions, scientific researchers, music festivals and more, to craft rich narratives and experiences through design. In 2020, she founded Soft Stir, an independent arts publication, to platform the critical, reflective, and experimental work of diverse, emerging Australian creatives.

Chris Dodds, Board Member
Chris has a background in digital strategy, UX theory and practice, graphic design, project planning, AI implementation, marketing and brand communications. He consults with industry and government clients to deliver digital transformation and communications strategies, digital products and behaviour change campaigns. Chris completed a Masters by Research at RMIT University and is a member of the university's Digital Media Program Advisory Committee. He continues researching AI and near-horizon technologies and their impact on workplaces, businesses and government services.

Bella Wren, Board Member
Bella is an experienced relationship manager and arts administrator. She is currently Head of Corporate Partnerships at ACMI, Australia’s museum of screen culture, where she is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of corporate partners. Bella completed a Master of Arts and Cultural Management at the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Professional Communication at RMIT University.
