Updates on the Hachette Australia Prize for Young Writers

Thank you for your patience as we resolved the issue with our submissions portal.

The Hachette Prize for Young Australian Writers back up and running now, with an extended deadline of 11:59pm AEST Sunday 19th October.

Update 13/10/2025

Due to an unforeseen issue with the submission portal, the submission form for the Hachette Prize stopped accepting entries prior to the closing submission time. We are currently working on getting this fixed and will notify you as soon as we can with an extended deadline.

For those who were unable to submit on the evening of October 12, please rest assured that you will still be able to submit your hard work!
